Our Open Days are now firmly established as friendly opportunities to see our club exhibition layouts in a less formal environment. This means we have more time to talk to our visitors, to explain details of our own modelling, or to offer help with yours! We also have membership forms available......
Our original late October date was designed to follow our annual exhibition. It gives an opportunity for modellers who see our layouts and demonstrations at the show to take a closer look at the club at leisure. Happily, this seems to encourage people to join us, from beginners to more experienced modellers. It has proved so successful that we have also established a second Open Day in the spring, typically on May Day.

The event is not purely altruistic, as is intentionally set up to be more informal than our exhibition, with more time to talk to visitors. we have usually found that one or two people each year seem to like what they see enough to want to join the club. This brings new ideas to us, and provides a useful source of like-minded enthusiasts for the new member!
If you can't manage that date (or are keen to meet us before then), contact us to arrange to come some Wednesday evening. We are always happy to welcome fellow enthusiasts to our regular club meetings, and even offer a free cup of coffee or tea.
Our clubroms are in the Wrecclesham Community Centre, Greenfield Road, Farnham GU9 8TJ , about 40 minutes walk from the station. Click here for a map.
Last year's event went particularly well, with quite a buzz in the hall.
We were particularly proud to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Farnham (Councillor John Ward and Mrs. Gillian Ward) to watch us playing trains, and it seems they had quite a good time, too!
